Today at Newton St Loe, a presentation was made to Rob Perry for his 50 years membership of the Bath & Wells DACR at a special Bellringer’s service and barbecue. The Newton St Loe and Corston ringers (past and present) all joined together to celebrate. Well done Rob!

A presentation was made at Swainswick last Thursday evening to David Whittock who received his long service certificate from the Bath & Wells DACR. Well done to him! A few words from Tower Captain Sarah ..

‘David was instrumental in having new bells recast in 1972 and did much of the work and co-ordination himself. He additionally pulled together the band we have today from severe dwindling numbers for the millenium. Without David there would be no bells or band at Swainswick, and we are forever grateful to him for his unwavering commitment.’
