About the Tower

Lansdown is the most recent addition to the affiliated towers in the Branch and was installed in 2007 in conjunction with repair work on the tower. This very light ring of six replaced the existing swing chime three: the tenor is an ex-Trinity House buoy bell donated by the Keltek Trust; the 5th was re-homed from Swindon as a gift from Bath St Michael; and the remaining four bells were cast by Whitechapel. The new bells were paid for partly by the church and partly by donations to the Branch in order to cast the fourth in memory of Robin Stubbs, former tower captain of Bathwick.
